WELCOMES ROGER SCAMMELL AS PRESIDENT AND DIRECTOR
Murphy, Id. -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 01/18/11 -- Silver Falcon Mining, Inc. (OTCBB: SFMI) Board of Directors announces that they have invited Mr. Roger Scammell to join the Board of Directors and that he also accepted the position of President of the Company.
Mr. Scammell has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from University of London, England and is a licensed Professional Geoscientist of Ontario. He has 40 years experience in the mining and exploration industry worldwide and most notably in North America, México and Guatemala; principally with epithermal gold/silver, polymetallic base metal, combined with nickel and coal deposits. He was the Country Manager (México) for Teck Corporation and its Mexican subsidiary, Minera Teck S.A. de C.V. from 1992 to 2002. Under his direction, Minera Teck discovered the 72 million tonne San Nicolas volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit in Zacatecas, México and the El Limon gold skarn in Guerrero, México.
Since 2004, he has held the position of Vice President of Exploration and later President of Scorpio Mining Corporation and its Mexican subsidiary Minera Cosalá. During this time, he was responsible for the administration and execution of exploration, development and initial production of the Nuestra Señora polymetallic silver mine in Sonora, México as well as the onsite construction of the 1,000 tonnes per day flotation mill.

The Company believes that Mr. Scammell with his geological acumen will be a key in the exploration and development of the Company’s War Eagle Mountain mining plan and be the lead executive in assisting in the development of the Canadian Instrument 43-101, a requirement for listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
